Furetank adds another two Vinga vessels to the order line, marking a milestone for the shipping company. Upon delivery, Furetank’s fleet will consist entirely of environmentally proven, top standard vessels with an average age of two years. ”We did our homework. This development towards sustainability has been an amazing journey”, says CEO Lars Höglund.

In a time of large investments and intense development, Furetank’s board of directors has appointed Jonatan Höglund to be the company’s new Deputy CEO. This also marks the milestone of a new generation Höglund moving into top management of the family-owned shipping company.
The path that took Furetank’s business controller Wassim Salma from a war-torn Syria to a new life in Gothenburg is quite a story. Demonstrating for democratic rights he was forced to flee his home country, facing a very uncertain future. Little did he know that his job, branch of industry and hometown would all be mirrored in Sweden a few years later.
